Lionel Messi stokes El Clasico rivalry ahead of Champions League final and says Barcelona fans 'don't want to see Real Madrid win'

Barcelona forward Lionel Messi has stoked one of world football's fiercest rivalries after admitting that he and the club's fans hope Real Madrid lose the Champions League final.Los Blancos play city counterparts Atletico Madrid for European football's greatest prize on May 28, but Messi has brought El Clasico allegiances into the frame as well. The 28-year-old told ESPN: 'Always for Barcelona, the fans don't want to see Real Madrid win [anything], as they also feel toward us.
Barca are currently top of La Liga with 88 points going into the final game of the campaign. Second-placed Madrid could still pip Barca to the crown should they beat Deportivo La Coruna and Luis Enrique's men fail to win away at Granada. On the closeness of La Liga's title race, Messi added: 'Yes, luckily we have been able to get several points ahead.'We suffered a dip at a time when we least expected it, after the international break, we had Madrid and then the qualifier against Atletico Madrid and then consecutive games in La Liga where we dropped many points. Luckily we counted on ourselves and now we are back on top.'
